Cellphones

In our world at this very moment, technology is evolving at such rapid pace that no one knows what would happen in the next few years; maybe even months; probably weeks or even the next day? Perhaps? Our parents might fire our very own housekeeper the next day when the Robo Butler is introduced. No mistakes, no complains, just switch it on in the morning and plug in and leave it to charge in the night. Simple as that. Of course, it's just an example. No one will ever know what sort of product will penetrate the market and end up being your very own favourite entertainment device. The newly launched PS3? The introduction of Wi-Fi? The introduction to more portable game consoles? Well, the device I would like to highlight about in this post will be the none other, cellphones. I am sure that every each of us out there would certainly have a cellphone; if not, most liekly would want to have a cellphone. Children as young as 8 already own a cellphone. Not to say own, but was given a cellphone by their parents. A few weeks back, in a restaurant, this kid aged about 10 or something, recieved a call. I looked over and guess what? He pulled out a bloody Nokia N81 8GB. I pulled out my cellphone and looked at it. It's a N73 modle which I bought it 2 years back.

At such young age, would it be appropriate that a mere child like this is give a cellphone? Arguments? Some would say, it's easier to contact and ask the whereabouts of the kid. Well, is this reason good enough? The main issue I written this post is not to argue that why children as young as 8 could own a bloody Nokia N81 and why can't I? No of course, no. That's plain dumb. The main issue is that, parents do not know that there's a risk in giving cellphones to their children of such young age. Lately, I am sure that everyone is well aware of the radiation articles and reports of the cellphones published in the newspaper or TV news reports right? Actually, this issue had been around for a long time; teh very first issue of this cellphone radiation was dated back to February 5 1993 written by a certain journalist by the name John McCormick.

Here's the link to the article : http://www.goaegis.com/articles/newsbytes_020593.html

What we do not know is that the children are more prone to the radiation as compared to the adults. Obviously it's because we have fully developed skulls and the radiation will take a longer period of time to fully affect us. When we talk through the cellphone, our voice will be transmitted as radio frequency radiation. This particular radiation is hazardous to our health if we are exposed to it. As a matter of fact, each time we use the cellphone, we are exposed to it. Children usin cellphones at such young age bears a greater risk as comapred to us adults. Parents that do not know of the risk will regret in the years to come. It might be too late to regret by then. Therefore, I urge parents to think twice before giving their beloved children cellphones. Not to say that chilren are the only victims around here, the adults too are suffering from illness due to the long term exposure of the cellphone radiation.

Back then, I used to envy over my friends who has 2-3 cellphones with them. It was a sight to behold when u recieve a call. Pulling out the other phone when you yourself know which phone is ringing. It was plain stupid. "Wow, you got 3 cellphones. You sure are a lucky fella.". If I see a friend of mine doing this now, "Wow, you got 3 cellphones. My deepest sympathies to you." Cool? Not. Instead of seeing a coolio, I see a half dead person. Well, there's never the best cellphone ever. Like I said earlier, technology is evolcing at a rapid pace, so do the cellphones. New models of cellphones are always introduced to the competitive market. More sophiscated applications and devices installed to compete with other brands of cellphones. First cellphones were made portable telephones where the sole function was to make a call. Now, we can go online, tell the time, play games, e-mail and watch TV. Whatever happened to the very main reason the cellphones were made. Of course, it is known that the more sophiscated the cellphone is, the more dangerous the radiation will be. So i suggest evryone to trade in their handphones and get themselves a Nokia 252. Look, it even has an antenna! Of course! If we use earphones, then we won't be exposed to the radiation at all! Right? It's not right actually. Recent reports stated that using the earphones may actually help to intensify the exposure to the radiation emitted by the cellphones.

You guys know the saying very well? "I can't live without my cellphone!"? or maybe "No cellphone, No life" Hah! Think again. Right now, I am trying my very best to limit myself to using my cellphone; even better trying my very best to keep myself away from it. I wouldn't even want to start about the risk of Wi-Fi yet. The world is changing, with the latest technology to serve and provide mankind with comfort. Is it true?
